I have to admit I feel a tad guilty when I ask that question, because I also have feel to the trap of reality television. What is it about reality television that attracts so many viewers each time?
It almost seems creepy to be amused by other people’s lives that we sit in front of a television every Tuesday faithfully at 7:00 pm to see what Bad Girl hits who this week.
Lets be honest with ourselves here, all the shows are basically the same. Different people, different place, but the same thing happens every time. I can only imagine what my parents are thinking when they see people go on a show and live in a house with 19 other people and expect to find love. So what is it that attracts us week after week?
In my opinion it is the satisfactory of seeing another individual doing worse then we are, we find it funny. We look at them and say, “well at least my life isn’t as bad as theirs, and instantly we feel better.
